About me
Growing up as the only child of a mentally ill and alcoholic mother, I know what it means to deal with high levels of stress and remain flexible to respond to the unexpected.
When I was 20 years old, my mother died. At that time, I decided to look ahead and focus on my professional career in insurance. With great pleasure and commitment, I held various management positions at the former Winterthur Insurance and the ABB Group, including nine years as Head of Insurance Risk Management, responsible for ABB's global insurance operations.
For many years, I had a fulfilling life with my husband and our two girls. But suddenly there was this feeling of not being really happy and full of energy anymore. Was it the demanding job, the challenge of being a mother of small children, the combination of both, or just getting older? I always had everything under control and never weakened in my performance. I saw admitting I was not feeling well or accepting help from others as a sign of weakness.

But one day I realized that I could not solve the problem by myself and decided to go for personal development coaching. Through the coaching, I realized that my constant strive for perfection was strongly influenced by my childhood experiences, which I had never processed. My childhood conditioning was necessary to survive at the time. As an adult, however, these became increasingly burdensome. I found my way out of the hamster wheel and was able to discard unhelpful behavior patterns. This helped me get back to my zest for life and usual energy.

In 2021, I decided to embark on a new professional path, using my rich life and leadership experience, as well as my education as a Holistic Resilience Coach, to support and guide other people through their personal or professional challenges.
